Here is my Swarovski Crystal Colorforecast for fall 2011 based on Pantone’s Fall 2011 forecast

Pantone - Swarovski

Bamboo = Sunflower

emberglow = light rose golden shadow or coral pearl

honeysuckle = indian pink

phlox = amethyst

cedar = none

deep teal = Indicolite

coffee liquor = smoked topaz

nougat = light colorado topaz

orchid hush = provance lavender**

quarry = indian sapphire

** this is very close to the color worn by Catherine the Duchess of Cambridge at the L.A. BAFTA gala so that maybe a very popular color for the next year for formal occassions (Weddings, promos etc..)

Pantone’s Spring 2011 Color Forecast in Swarovski Crystal

Swarovski is really cooking my goose - orange has been popular colour since 2000 and they still only have 1 maybe two oranges in the whole range - and Fire opal does not count!!! So for this colour forecast I struggled. I have found sun and red topaz are available in limited beads like bicones or rounds and maybe some 3700’s. But just so you know Gerri crystal has some nice vintage beads in sun. You can find Pantone’s and other colour forecast at Fashiontrendsetter.com

This I hope is the first post of the Spring 2011 Color Forecasts in Crystal. The color industry work years ahead to predict the color palettes for each season. The Forecast are often broken to small grouping the represent a theme. I like to find the best match of Swarovski Elements to the color forecasts. Below is the color swatch plus the match Swarovski color and name.

Sunflower and Silver Night are new colors just beginning to show up in your favorite Swarovski Online sellers like Fire Mountain, Merchants Overseas, Fusion Beads and BlueMud. I typically would have chosen Morion as the dark grey colour as it had a bit more of bluish hue to but Morion is discontinued, and very hard to come by.
